Cleaning out the Garbage

Now that I have some more understanding  my 1st order of business was to declutter.  You may call it spring cleaning but I needed to clean out all of the garbage, not only from my spiritual life but my physical life as well.  I am sure there are some biblical verses I could throw out there that would pertain to cleaning out the garbage from our lives but lets just stick with this….   When things are neat and organized it gives a peaceful and clean feeling to a home… it opens up the mind to think more clearly.

Nice way to store all the junk
Scrap wood from the side of the road
Over the last week we have gutted the garage, repacked Christmas, winter cloths and found about 4 boxes of school stuff.   Hubby built some shelves, finally, yeah…..  deep cleaned the kid's rooms and redid our class room (all without spending a dime, which is the best part).

Now this is just a tidbit to help you think outside the box of life.  We are "Side of the Road Junkies", firm believes that "One mans junk is another mans treasure".   I desperately needed to re do my school room… it was not FUNctional at all and like I have said before we do not have money to pour into a remodel.  Sooo, just so

happens (Thank you Lord) my landlady was moving out of her office space, which  happens to contained a "junk yard" of stuff that her husband collects from "The Side of the Road Store".  I put in about 4 hours worth of sweat and I was able to walk away with this brand new school room.  I did not pay for anything in this room.  God is good… and the tidbit is, you don't always need money…. Blessings can come from some of the most unusually places, if you just open your eyes and look.  (even junkyards)

Enjoy,
Momma

Mind you I haven't cleaned for a few days, I was gutting the garage and bedrooms. Right before we switched everything I got pictures so I could do before and after shots.

 Yes the wall is crooked....

No more lost game pieces behind the shelf.... Yeah, God is Good!

The paper holder here in the middle is another one of hubby's wood projects. FREE wood from "The Side of the Road Store".  Here to the right is another side of the road score. I am working on a way to turn it into a workbox system.  I'll let you know how it works out.Remember think outside the box...this was all free.... people throw away good stuff all the time.
